The Dali/Duchamp exhibit at The Dali Museum is exceptional!

I will admit that I had no idea that Dali and Duchamp were lifelong friends and artistic cohorts.  I knew that they moved in the same creative circles, but always viewed the two artists as polar opposites.  This exhibition does a masterful job at explaining how two artists with wildly different personalities, can share creative objectives and a positive and reaffirming friendship.

For those of you who are skeptical of or put off by Dada and Surrealism, this exhibition does an incredible job of juxtaposing Salvador Dali and Marcel Duchamp and their creative processes, illustrating how they were often drawn (!) to certain themes/theories, yet had different approaches.

For those who love art and want to continue to be challenged by it, this is definitely the show for you!

Dali/Duchamp is on view at The Dali Museum through May 27th.  For more information, please visit… http://thedali.org/exhibit/daliduchamp/
